About the Role Our client, a growing entity within the sports industry, is seeking a creative and data-driven Remote Sports Marketing Strategist. This position is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing campaigns that enhance brand visibility, engage fan bases, and drive commercial growth for various sports initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing, social media trends, and the unique landscape of sports marketing. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels to promote sports events, athletes, and brands. Manage and optimize social media platforms, creating engaging content and fostering community interaction. Plan and execute paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads) to reach target audiences. Analyze marketing campaign performance, track KPIs, and provide regular reports with actionable insights. Collaborate with content creators, designers, and external agencies to produce high-quality marketing materials. Identify emerging marketing trends and opportunities within the sports sector. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions. Develop and manage marketing budgets effectively. Build and maintain relationships with media partners, sponsors, and influencers. Contribute to brand development and ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, with a significant focus on sports marketing. Proven expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, and social media management. Experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights). Strong understanding of brand management and campaign development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for creative storytelling.
